Actively Looking for Shop Foreman, Technical Information Specialist jobs within 25 miles of Silverdale, Washington.
I have solid capabilities in vehicle electrical and drivability diagnosis and repair on GM/domestic cars and light trucks.
I am looking for a position that would utilize my knowledge more than my body as I am getting older and my physical abilities don't mimic what they were 20 years ago.
A perfect fit for me would be in a larger shop with the need for someone to maybe be a dispatcher/shop foreman that would help maximize workflow, reduce comebacks and help the younger, less experienced techs keep pointed in the right direction.
One of my main goals has always been to reduce/eliminate comebacks, the ultimate enemy of any auto repair business.
I am very efficient at finding needed repair information and related procedures/remedies in order to properly diagnose and fix problem vehicles. This has been a specialty of mine for many years and I have always been the "Go To Guy" in the shop when things started getting weird during a non-traditional repair.
I am very computer savvy with spreadsheets, word & pdf document creation, power point creations plus numerous other technology related tasks.
I have used many different service write-up programs over the years, Reynolds & Reynolds, Autosoft and Maxx Trax to name a few ,
Tools and Equipment
Proficient using digital and analog scopes along with most OEM and aftermarket scan tools.
Also strong in AC system diagnosis assuming modern test equipment is available
Technician/Technical Information Specialist
ASE Master Tech since 1985
GM Master Tech Since 1989
I was primarily the GM Tech at this used car dealer that had a very large repair facility.
Each tech was employed for their car line experience, (GM, Ford, Chrysler, Asian, Euro, etc.) and this kept comebacks to a minimum along with maximizing workflow efficiency as each tech would focus on their specialty car line. Customer CSI was almost always near 100% while this model was used.
