At both Greg's Automotive and Helix, our mechanics can service most makes and models of vehicles, as well as hybrids. We can perform a wide range of automotive services including:

• A 30 point maintenance inspection, on all vehicles that come through our shop, just to make sure everything is in proper working order.
• 30K, 60K and 90K services
• Air Conditioning Service & Repair, including R-12 Systems and Refrigerant Retrofits
• Alignment, 2 wheel, 4 wheel, raised and lowered vehicles, trucks and some motorhomes
• Battery service, cables cleaning and hold downs

El Cajon has been home to Greg's Automotive for over 32 years. Greg Kelly started Greg's Automotive in the summer of 1979 in East El Cajon as a master technician. The shop quickly outgrew the original location. Once we moved to Johnson Ave in 1982, we kept growing, and Sheri (Greg's wife of 40 years) came to work full time as we added technicians. Sheri manages Greg's Automotive Helix. She has been "immersed" in the auto repair business for many years and knows so much about how cars work, it is pretty easy for her to explain what is going on with your car. She is also an Accredited Automotive Manager. Technicians appreciate a clean, brightly lit workplace as do customers appreciate the same. Our office is clean, we have very clean restrooms, and there is plenty of reading material. We also will offer WiFi at no charge to our customers as soon as we get over some security issues. The shop area is kept clean so your vehicle is kept clean. My technicians are among the best at what they do. There are 2 certified Master Techs here, one Master tech that won't take the certification exams, and 1 tech that just lacks one category test to be a Master. My people undergo ongoing training as it becomes available. Both hands on, webinar and seminar venues are utilized to keep them up to date and at the cutting edge of changes.

Our technicians tend to stay with us for long periods. Thirteen to 15 years is pretty normal, shorter periods for those that don't measure up to our standards. Our managers, like Sheri and Marc are especially long lived in our organization. I firmly believe that the stability of the owners, married over 40 years, and the stability of our employees together give the consumer the best possible experience with getting their vehicle repaired and maintained. With stability comes integrity and honesty, 2 of the benchmarks that separate Greg's Automotive from the rest of the shops around. Very few can match our standing in the community nor our absolute dedication to our customers.

Our service advisors are all specialists in doing one thing: making sure your vehicle gets proper repairs and maintenance. Sheri, Marc and now, Pamela are committed to serving you in the best, most professional way possible. Greg's Automotive is proud to have 3 Certified Master Technicians and one more who is currently working towards this prestigious certification. Greg and Dale are also certified in the advanced diagnostic designation, L-1. In addition, all of our techs are certified in at least one ASE category, such as Brakes, Suspension and Engine Repair.
