| Location: | From the south, take 355 north to the Roosevelt Road exit. Go east (right) on Roosevelt Road to Meyers Road. Go left on Meyers (Westmore) until you reach the stop light at St. Charles Rd. Go left (west) on St. Charles Road and we are on the left side of the street. From the north, take 355 south to the North Ave. exit. Go east (left) on North Ave until you reach the stop light at Grace Street. Make a right on Grace Street which you stay on until you cross over the railroad tracks. Just over the tracks make a quick left (east) on St. Charles Rd. We will be on your right (on the bend) just past the Lombard Commons Park District swimming pool. | |
| More Info: | History: My grandfather, Bennett Nofsinger, started operating the Shell Service Station on Roosevelt Road and Meyers Road in Lombard 55 years ago. When he retired, my father, Ronald Nofsinger, took over the business and continued to sell gas and repair cars until 1985. I started working for my dad when I was 16 years old. When my dad decided to get out of auto repair and build a car wash at the Shell Station, my wife and I opened Nofsinger's Auto Repair, Inc. at 555 E. St. Charles Rd., Lombard and continued a 55 year family tradition of auto repair. This year we are celebrating our 25th year in business thanks to all of our loyal customers. Meet the Business Owner, Mark Nofsinger: I have been in the auto repair industry since I was 16 years old. I started working for my dad at his Shell Station pumping gas and fixing cars. I learned to be an auto mechanic in Glenbard East High School's vocational program called VICA. I won a scholarship to Bailey Technical vocational school in St. Louis, Missouri which I attended following high school. I also served on the Chrysler Arbitration Board in 1994 and 1995. I have been an ASE certified mechanic for over 25 years. | |
