FORD FICM IN INTERNATIONAL DT466
Posted to Technical Tips Forum on 6/21/2024 5 Replies

Not sure if this has been covered but we just learned it. We were working on a 2006 international dt466 and had a failed alliant power idm we had just replaced a year ago. The new one made it 1 day. All wiring good and all powers and grounds good, we had already bypassed the three terminal plugs and fuse holders that are known to go bad also. Had a reman ficm for a ford we keep for ford no starts, never been fulled installed but it did have ford programming. Plugged it in and we got injector noise back, wont start it but we didnt think it would. Ran navkal new module programming and it overwrote the ford software and the ficm works just fine. You should also be able to override an international software with ford but we have never done that, just read about it. Ford is ¼ the price of international and better quality than the aftermarket options. Just an fyi hope it helps someone.
