Got a 08 Compass that needed a Hydraulic control unit and electronic brake control module combo. Can't remember the codes it came in with, but when I get to the shop in the morning I'll update the post.

Replaced ABS modules in plenty of Chryslers and never have had this problem.

Getting C2206 - Vehicle Configuration Mismatch

Going through the Guided Diagnostics I've attempted to write the vin to the new module with the Factory Witech with a subscription and the module will not take the new vin!! I've tried this multiple times just in case there was a glitch in the matrix.

Talked to a guy on the phone at a Chrysler dealer and he said that a 08 module shouldn't need the vin.

After going back and plugging in the original module there is definitely a vin stored in that module. The correct vin, with no c2206 code.

any Chrysler guys ever run into this? I know it usually needs a FCM to do a vehicle restore config, but the process is completing in the scan tool with no problems, I am following procedures and unplugging the DLC afterwards with the key off and doors shut for one minute. Brand new module from the dealer.
