Perform vehicle test drives, inspections, and other diagnostic tests to identify the problems that exist and determine which automotive parts need to be repaired or replaced. Inspect mechanical and electronic components, diagnosis the issues, and determine possible resolutions. Perform vehicle repairs, i.e. Engine Repair, Drive Train/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning and Engine Performance. Complete vehicle preventative maintenance Maintain accurate records relating to clients, their vehicles, parts, and service history Use shop equipment as instructed, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed Work with other team members as needed Maintain an organized, neat and safe work environment Other duties as assigned Requirements: State of Michigan Mechanic Certification Proven ability to diagnose and repair vehicles and follow safety instructions and directions At least 18 years old Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience High school diploma, GED, or vocational certificate is helpful Some automotive and personal computer skills will be necessary Customer service oriented Own a basic set of automotive tools Ability to lift an object weighing 75 pounds Work Monday – Friday (no weekends) Benefits: Paid weekly Weekly commission based on completed work order labor hours and performance Paid holidays Product and service discounts Flexible paid time off Competitive health insurance for eligible full-time employees Direct deposit Wages will be based on experience.
