Candidate #1004 Technician/Manager in Woodbridge, Virginia
Actively Looking for Shop Foreman jobs within 50 miles of Woodbridge, Virginia.
I am honest, dependable, hard working, trustworthy with a high attention to detail. I insist on quality over quantity in my work. I want to be proud of what I I do, not necessarily for recognition but for my own peace of mind. After 30+ years my body is starting to wear so I am looking for a position that would make use of my abilities without the physical activity involved in repair work. I feel like the shop foreman position would be good fit since I would still have some hands on helping the techs and also being able to guide work through the shop in a timely, efficient fashion. Locating the correct parts and tools for the job, making sure the tech has what they need to repair the vehicles and stay busy generating income. I believe that the tech is the key to any shops success and keeping them busy, motivated and happy is paramount to achieving that goal. The main focus of experience of late has been with the Ford Powerstroke engines and the vehicles they power, but prior to that I worked on all domestic and Asian imports. I have little to no experience servicing European vehicles and would not be comfortable doing so in any capacity.

Tools and Equipment
I've always been one to purchase tools if needed to perform the job correctly and/or in a more efficient manner. This is especially true if I know it will be a common repair. I personally own a four channel PC based lab scope, three scan tools including the Ford IDS system. I have an extensive collection of specialty tools as well as the usual hand and power tools needed in this industry.
