I have been working on cars and heavy duty trucks for about 6 years with a greater emphasis on heavy duty truck systems. I have several career goals that I would like to fulfill as both a technician and an engineer. First and foremost, I want to specialize in electrical diagnostics as a technician. I feel that in order to succeed in the industry, one should be well versed in electrical troubleshooting. From there, I would like to move into a mobile setting where I go to different shops to see as many problems as I can. As an engineer, I want to move from mobile diagnostics and take what I learned to design more reliable systems. Additionally, I want to do field service engineering work to assist the technicians identify solutions to never before seen issues. The final step in my goal would be to open my own shop, which would facilitate automotive and heavy duty applications.

I would say that some of my strengths include striving to perform quality work, pushing myself to understand different computerized electrical systems, and being organized. Additionally, I enjoy taking a methodical approach to diagnostic work. Areas where I need to improve are time efficiency and exposure to a variety of different problems.

I believe the right fit for me would be a company who finds training and education important. Additionally, a company who facilitates employee growth and understands the value of quality over quantity.
