My current experience includes:
• Automotive Technology, NATEF certified training at Oxnard College; since 2015.
• Firestone, Technician; since 2015.
• Oxnard Referee, Student Technician Training Program; since 2016.
Since I've started my career as an entry level Technician, my knowledge on handling equipment, tools, and procedures has increased. Today I am capable of operating and performing task using, Data Acquisition Device, alignment rack, coolant, transmission and differentials services. I am capable of diagnosing symptoms such as brake, suspension, air conditioning and more. I currently hold several certifications such as, EPA 609, BAR, TIMKEN bearings and much more. After completing my training I plan on pursuing a full time position as a certified Smog Technician.
Tools and Equipment
Today, I have experience on using a brake lathe to cut drums and rotors. Also, I have experience using QMI machines to perform many task such as recharging A/C, fluid exchanges, and so on. I have experience using DMM, PowerProbe, scan tools, timing lights, Oscilloscopes and more. Currently, I own tool storage boxes with many hand tools. Some of these tools rang from complete socket sets, ratchets, wrenches, extensions and much more. I plan on expanding these tools in the near future.
Student - Associates in Science
In this capacity, I am preparing my self with general requirements of education to pursues a bachelors after completing my associates and vocational training.
Student - Automotive Technology
In this capacity I receive hands on experience on tools and equipment. This program offers entry level technician training to prepare technicians a secure foundation within the industry.
In this capacity I have learned to work efficiently using many tools and equipment. I started off as a level one Tech and have moved up to level two. Currently, I am capable of many things such as alignments, brakes, some diagnostics and general maintenance.
Student Technician Training Program
In this capacity, I have learned Smog and Procedures required to become successful Techs. This position requires 300+ hours with California Smog Referee for the Oxnard area located on my college campus. My responsibilities include assisting and performing inspections and test to the public.
Retail Sales Consultant
In this Capacity,
i was responsible for assisting consumers with membership sales and services. This required the ability to communicate effectively, learn about the newest Technology, maintaining a clean and neat appearance.
