I have invested in my own snap on scan tool to allow myself to not be limited to the shop OEM scan tool. I have purchased most diagnostic equipment and tools I feel i should need to allow me to complete most jobs efficiently. I do not have a problem purchasing certain tools if i find them to be useful, or it is something I need to work with a certain manufacturer. I would like to see newer equipment as far as shop equipment, and strong lifts. My view on this is if a shop is willing to invest in the equipment to stay up to date and allow the technician to operate efficiently, they are willing to invest in the technician as well to further their knowledge and help them succeed.
