Personal scan tools include Ford IDS, GM Tech2 to 2013, CardaqM J2534 for interface & reprogramming. Mastertech3100 with factory Toyota, Nissan & Honda software. Escan, a laptop based scan tool often seen in training seminars showing fuel trims in a matrix, catalyst efficiency in percent, volumetric efficiency in a matrix for quick drivability diagnosis. PICO scope user for over 10 years with pressure transducers of various ranges & amp clamps for quick, clean, non-intrusive diagnosis. VCDS.
One-man operation for over 20 years, excluding 2 years as diagnostic/emissions tech at Rod's Auto Repair. Versed in Pro-demand, Alldata, Identifix, Baymaster.
Diagnostic & emissions tech. No one in the shop knew how to do a relative compression test, reprogram, or use fuel trims before I showed up. Diagnostic skills improved imensly by daily application of skills I couldn't apply at my one-man shop. Passed emissions certification test on first try.
