Candidate #1592 Technician in Washington, District of Columbia
Passively Looking for Technician jobs and is willing to relocate for the right position.
Would be interested in working in an air conditioned shop--good heat in the wintertime would be nice too. Not into radios playing slow depressing music. Not into any music or distractions when working. Getting older, maybe moving even faster. May be becoming more ornery, but seem to be well thought of (can't imagine why).
Honest, move fast, accomplish much. I've met techs that I've regarded as smarter and faster than I, and if you can find one, don't let him or her get away because even now that I'm almost old, I can only think of a couple of fellows still doing this that are better than I. No bravado intended. Most days are spent doing diagnostics and chasing electrical problems. Still pretty fast at everything else. Brute strength is an asset that I never really possessed. The particular shop I am working with is regarded in the area as a strong electrical shop. However, I have maxed out education and income there. Time to advance onward.
Some college, lots of ASE certifications, and continually training. The long work hours and commute keep me from studying as much as I would like.
