Passively Looking for Technician jobs within 25 miles of Springfield, Ohio.
I’m currently a technician at a small family owned garage in a small town, looking to advance my skill set and be presented with new challenges. I’m very strong with braking system repairs from rusted lines to diagnosis of braking system failures. Very strong with suspension/alignments and familiar with various alignment software. Competent with electrical diagnosis, as well as drive-ability/ performance concerns and EVAP system concerns, ranging from timing chain repairs to simple throttle body cleans. I have a somewhat unique skillset due to being mixed between working at one of the largest nationwide used car retailers, to working in a small facility having to repair many vehicles in a creative way due to customer budget constraints. I am always looking to further my skillset and knowledge and love learning something everyday!

Work Experience
Technician
2018–Present
Work on numerous years, makes and models of vehicles, ranging a span of nearly a century. Diagnose and repairs virtually any concerns coming into the shop, from basic oil changes, drivetrain or suspension noise, CEL, electrical faults, improperly repaired vehicles, brake/fuel line leaks, as well as various customer requested services from welding trailers and mower decks up to repairing lightly wrecked vehicles for customers.
Mechanical Associate 4
2014–2018
I primarily worked on customers vehicles instead of being on the “reconditioning” side of the business due to my previous experience. This ranged from comeback vehicles due to improper instructions to customers from sales associate regarding vehicle features, to repairs needing repairs done in a timely manner in order to satisfy a customer with a newly purchased vehicle, as well as finding new processes to save the company money (such as finding a way to reattach broken Chevy Cruze turn signal bulb “blinders” to avoid headlight assembly replacement). I also was in charge of improving various aspects of standardized work, 5S charts, and used vehicle inspection processes. During my tenure I also was placed in charge of internal company “morale” meetings and administrating the ordering of new tools and replacing warranty tools with a system I had to develop. For a period of 10-14 months I was placed into a service advisor role.
Commercial Sales Manager
2012–2014
Commercial Sales Manager for a new commercial sales program, I was tasked with aiding in the acquisition of new accounts in a very competitive area of Columbus, and had to establish a solid baseline of sales to ensure further growth of my program. In a period of 6 months I had beaten my initial sales goal by more than 300% while providing no added delays in delivery or errors in orders. My performance and improvement remained steady over the rest of my tenure with the company
“C” Technician
2013–2014
From brake jobs, oil changes, tires and alignments I was a pretty typical “C” level technician. I was tasked with the challenge of repairing a variety of vehicles in a short amount of time with minimal information to go off of on many. A majority of the customer base were waiters, providing a unique environment that challenged me to hone my skills as a flat rate technician and find more efficient ways to perform repairs.
Nissan Certified Technician
2014–2014
I was a Nissan Certified technician for a new car dealership, performing repairs from heavy line and recall work (Nissan Juke timing chains), to customer service and basic maintenance as well as check engine light diagnosis and repair. A large portion of my experience here was also spent replacing CVT transmissions under warranty while consulting with the Nissan tech line to verify replacement vs repair need, as well as customer pay situations
