An increasingly common problem seen on the 6.0L Ford Powerstroke engine is diesel fuel in the coolant. This is caused by a crack in one of the engine's cylinder heads. The crack occurs in the fuel injector bore. The 6.0L Powerstroke Cylinder Head Repair kit corrects this problem without requiring cylinder head removal by replacing the factory injector sleeve with an extended sleeve that lines the entire fuel injector bore sealing the cracked area. Installation of kit requires approximately one hour beyond the time required to locate the problem cylinder and remove / re-install the injector. The kit includes a new lower injector body (required because the extended sleeve reduces effective bore diameter), a holding fixture required to change the lower injector body, a set of replacement injector seals, and Loctite retaining compound for the new sleeve.
