General Motors Global Diagnostic System 2 is the next-generation scan tool and diagnostic platform for GM Global A vehicles beginning with the 2010 model year.

GDS2 can be used to communicate with the vehicle and provide scan tool functions through a J2534 device or GM's MDI (Bosch) and your PC that meets the following requirements:

Business grade hardware (PCs and Access Points)

Intel Core i3, i5, i7 2nd Generation or above - these have model numbers of 2000 or greater (example: Intel Core i3-2100)

2 x USB 2.0 (or better) ports

500GB Hard drive

4GB ram

Windows 7 Professional, 32 and 64 bit (must use 32-bit Java and IE)

Internet Explorer (IE) 11

Wireless capability

Easy to use scan tool software for General Motors products. Excellent graphing options and easy to use menus make this scan tool one of the best PC based tools I have used as an educator. Can be setup and installed in under 20 minutes on a Windows 7 or 10 laptop with GM MDI interface. New MDI2 adds additional wireless capability and has more robust case than previous unit.
