The Consult-III plus (C-III plus) is a Laptop based diagnostic system that operates as a scan tool and reprogramming platform for Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. A Nissan CONSULT-III plus can be used for reprogramming model year 1999 and newer Nissan and Infiniti vehicles.
The Nissan CONSULT II (reprogramming on 1999 through 2006 model year vehicles) and III (reprogramming on most 2003 through 2009 model year vehicles) are no longer available for purchase, but users may still purchase reprogramming files designed specifically for use with this equipment. The C-III plus was designed specifically to support future technology requirements on Nissan and Infiniti vehicles.
The C-III plus must be installed on your existing CONSULT-III Panasonic Laptop. CONSULT-III software will continue to operate even after installation of C-III plus. You can also purchase a full CONSULT kit that contains both C-III and C-III plus software and vehicle interfaces and the Nissan approved Panasonic Toughbook.
CONSULT III Plus supports blank ECM and TCM programming. September 2013 Nissan and Infiniti began the phase-in of "blank" service part ECMs and TCMs. Depending on the model and model year, replacement modules come WITHOUT software. When the replacement module is installed in an applicable vehicle for an reason, it will need to be programmed.
C-III plus is required for scantool diagnosis of:
Nissan 2011 MY LEAF, Quest, Murano CrossCabriolet
2012 MY GT-R and NV
2012 MY Infiniti M and M Hybrid
All new model releases will require the use of C-III plus. None of these models or future models will be added to CONSULT-III.
