The Picoscope Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) kit is an add-on to the Picoscope 4000 series scope as it requires three channels for the application software to aid with the recording and analysis of vibrations. Additionally, you can use a J2534 device in order to bring engine speed and or vehicle speed into the equation.

The NVH kit can be used to identify issues such as:

Cabin noise / vibrations caused by items such as tires, wheels, driveline

Engine vibrations throughout the entire rev range

Clutch / flywheel vibration

Transmission / transaxle and bearing whine

Auxiliary drive noise

Brake anomalies causing vibration

Steering / suspension vibrations

The included software can display data in a variety of ways to help one visualize the vibration source.
