Everyone needs picks for a multitude of tasks like removing interior panel parts, disconnecting electrical plugs, cleaning minute debris , "o" ring manipulation, etc. Snappy sells excellent picks, but for the price of what should be a 10 to 20 piece set. I swear I must have bought my snappy guy a second house at the lake over the past decades and a Harley. Snappy's motto should be great tools at prices guaranteed to bankrupt.
PT Performance's 6 piece set is about $13 plus tax and they are made very well and do not bend easily. It would be better if they were a little shorter in length, but for the price they are worth it. Yes, I believe snappy's are slighty harder in metal strength, but not by much. I am always wishing I had more due to the fact you sometimes lose them or the "I'm going borrow this and never bring it back guy in the shop has the one you need or only left you the 90 degree and straight pick." Unlike Advance's or Autozone's, these picks do not all become a straightened pick after using them. I do wish they were made a little bit shorter, but other than that they are a good deal. I own three sets that I bought at O'reillys...minus the ones someone else is using.
This is a great alternative to paying $60 to $100 for a 4 PC set from Snappy. Also this set is sold by O'reillys and unlike pick sets from Advance or Autozone the tools do not bend easily like those stores cheapo sets do. The last set I bought was $13.00 plus tax... a very good deal. I actually went back and bought 2 more sets for the ones you lose or other co-workers happen to borrow and never bring back (cough cough... steal :). O'Reillys
