The DLS-75 Power Converter/Battery Charger converts 108-132V AC to 13.4V DC for both DC load operation such as when programming on-boad vehicle modules and 12V battery charging.
As a power supply, the unit's tightly controlled regulation allows the user to operate a nominal 12VDC load up to 75 amps. In battery charger mode, the unit will maintain the battery, delivering its full-rated current when the battery capacity falls sufficiently low. The voltage is set to deliver maximum current for the necessary period of time to minimize undue stress to the battery caused by heating of its cells. Over time, as the battery nears its full capacity, the DLS-75 will automatically lower the current, providing a proper float-charge to the battery to prevent self-discharge of the cells.
The unit features a Dual Voltage Jack that can trigger a step up of the output DC voltage from 13.5 to 14.2.
