The Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) communicates with Ford vehicles through the 16-pin diagnostic link connector. This device is used by the IDS software and is the core of vehicle diagnostics to read trouble codes, re-program (flash), and view vehicle data. The VCM is no longer available through Rotunda however; previously purchased VCMs are still supported.

The VCM has been replaced by the VCM-II (Rotunda).

If you work on any Ford product this is the must to have tool. For the most part Rotunda offers sales several times a year to the independents. The wireless feature is great feature and very reliable. If you are uncomfortable with wireless you can tether into your laptop. Utilizing the wireless feature to update software in the modules is very reliable as well and also the data stream.
