The Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) communicates with Ford vehicles through the 16-pin diagnostic link connector. This device is used by the IDS software and is the core of vehicle diagnostics to read trouble codes, re-program (flash), and view vehicle data. The VCM is no longer available through Rotunda however; previously purchased VCMs are still supported. The VCM has been replaced by the Vcm-II.
