I bought this tool years ago when they first started. We were always told that we could update it by just buying the updates. Then it got to a point where they said that we could not buy the updates unless we updated the connector. So we bought the new connector. That worked for a while and then they decided that we needed to buy another connector to be able to update the software. They used the excuse of no chips being available so they could Read more...

Its an absolute nightmare. I would only recommend this tool if it was priced at about $250. The amount of money they charge for incomplete software is crazy. From day one its been nothing but problems and false advertising. Doesn't do 60% of the things they advertise. When you call im for help a 2005 is an "vintage car" and may not be supported. Mobile is a joke. I just wish I could get a refund for this thing. Its no wonder all my owner friends Read more...

This is the only tool in the shop that could even make a connection with Porsche and most of the Jaguars. Tech support was very helpful. I had a ton of problems at one point until I realized the USB cord was going bad. The tech support guys sent me a free new one that was longer and much better quality. It has worked great since. I am going to invest the extra $ soon for the wifi plug. That should be the only one they sell now days!

I have had this scan tool since 2009 and I am very happy with it. It is very helpful with BMW , Mercedes, domestic and Asian. It is weak with Nissan and Volvo but as we know one tool can't have it all. I have been able to bail out other shops that have snap-on scan tools frequently. The new wifi is great also. I feel it is the best bang for your buck for the small shop owner like myself. Since it is laptop based it does not become obsolete and no Read more...

Mediocre, almost never connected to the vehicle, support blaming on user and agitated when told that user has no connection problem with other cheap, generic tool. And I paid for the pro version, updating, got another connector, same s--t. Waste of time and money. Should have none of the star at all.

Total waste of money.Lots of promises no delivery. They are the reason I started to buy factory tools, so I guess I should thank them.Too bad I cant give them no stars.

I have had my AutoEnginuity since 2011. Only domestic/ Asian so I can't speak on the Euro side. It is not a high dollar scan tool so I don't expect everything my factory tools will do. Mode 6 definitions are great. I don't have to go looking for them elsewhere. It has some issues but I have never had a problem with costumer service. Email a question even on a sunday and usually have an answer by Monday. Price was very reasonable and updates ar Read more...

Had a bad experience with the scan tool in terms of unreliable data and customer service. When I had issues they did not want to take action to correct the poor operation of the tool and would rather put the blame on the user. I gave it away. It is a DIY scanner at best. I now have a maxidas as my back up to my factory tools. It blows the doors off of the auto enginuity in every way.
